Ever since I was a child, I have been dreaming about becoming an adult, dreaming about waking up in the morning to go to work instead of school.
It must be super cool being an adult! (≧∇≦)
When will I graduate and start working?
Well, it happened before I knew it!
After graduation, after working my first real job, I finally understood what adults mean when they told us "aw, I wish I was in school again!" Or "I wish I was your age and never grew up."
Turned out, adulthood is not all shopping and traveling, in fact, it is very little of that. For most of the times that I'm awake, I'm either working, or preparing myself for work the next day.
ESPECIALLY working in retail, simply means "no more holidays!" "no more weekends!" and "definitely no nine-to-five".Reunions and getting together with the ladies seems almost impossible!
I mean don't get me wrong! Adulthood is not all bad, you get to stay out late! You get to spend your own money and travel with you BFFs (when all of you finally work out a time that you can take vacation at the same time -.-)
As we grow older, we gain more freedom from our parents, but we loose that freedom to work and reality.
As we grow older, we might not have the responsibilities from school and homeworkers, but we are preoccupied by work.
As we grow older, we start to think about all the shoulda, coulda, wouldas.
As we grow older, we want to go back to being a kid!
I guess we are just never satisfied huh? (⌒-⌒)
What should I write about next? My job?
'Till next time, be inspired!
